Shopping.. My wallet hurts.
So ive started ordering parts for the cherokee.. First set of orders was for:
4.5 inch Rough Country lift kit (shocks included)
K&N 57 series HF Performance Intake
Boss CD/MP3 Headunit with USB
1000 Watt Power Acoustik amp
Lanzar Opti Scion 10" sub (and enclosure)
4 Boss Chaos exxtreme series speakers for door and rear liner
and some new brake lines..
In total this set me back around $1100 with shipping.
I need someone who is familiar with the process of installing these lifts to look at this parts list and let me know what else im going to need to install this lift and have it ride smoothly..
The site says the following is included in the kit:
Front coil springs, front lower control arms, transfer case drop kit, swaybar links, brake line relocating brackets, (4) RC Hydro 8000 series shocks, and rear add-a-leafs and shackles.
I know there are some issues that come from lifting these things, and some items im likely to need to replace to avoid these issues, if someone could give me some insight on this id appreciate it.
..And im likely to need some assistance in the actual installation, which should take place around the end of this month. If anyone is available for a reasonable price please let me know.

Re: Shopping.. My wallet hurts.
what you have listed there is all that is needed for a lift. bring it to my house and we will get that lift installed.
Re: Shopping.. My wallet hurts.
I have the 6.5 Rough Country lift. Not a bad install. They first did not ship me all the parts but in the end it was nice and easy.
Too bad I didnt know you were ordering that amp. I have a 1000 watt Power Acoustic amp and two PA 12's. I do not use them anymore. Prob could have sold to you cheap.

Well once this lift is installed ill be in need of some tires.. If anyone has a set of 33s for 15" rims that has a lot of tread left we can probably work something out.

I've got an rc kit also and it was missing parts also. Noticing a trend here with missing parts.....

I beleive his kit does not have the trac bar but it does have longer anti sway bar links. Also, He will have to use his stock upper control arms and his lowers are none adj.

I think its a good idea to get the adjustible control arm...its a lil more money but worth it when your trying to dial in the best position of the axle.89WhiteXJ wrote:Lock~N~Low wrote:Does the kit include a track arm or anti-sway bar links?

Ok, ill have to check into ordering a few extra parts to make everything come out right. The site i ordered my lift from said the estimated delivery date was the 28th of this month, but i woke up to an email with tracking numbers stating it will be here by friday
Guess i need to hurry up and get some tires..

Re: Shopping.. My wallet hurts.
Great. So you'll have it Friday? Great, you can have them on for Saturday. Sweet.
Re: Shopping.. My wallet hurts.
maybe. with all the stories ive heard about RC sending out lifts with missing parts i might get half the kit delivered =\
im sure there is something else im going to need to buy to make it all work properly too and avoid the death wobble. and im still going to have to find a place to install it and some help with the installation, Troy offered up a spot over there at his place but im not sure when he would be available since i didnt expect it to be here till late this month.

Re: Shopping.. My wallet hurts.
If the lift actually shows up friday as planned id be up for doing it either friday or saturday, completely up to you. i should have enough cash left out of this check to cover any additional parts i might need.
