4WD's not made anymore?
I drive around all day, everyday. Is it just me or are 4WD vehicles as daily drivers disappearing? I see a lot of lifted trucks with shiny rims and knobby tires, but when I talk to the guys, they "don't offroad my truck". I remember a bunch of guys running Toyota's, Datsun's, Scouts, etc. Seems like with the advent of uni-body, there aren't off roarers out there. Now they all seem to be mall crawlers and posers. Or is it just me?

I think you are on to something. Not only less people wheeling , also less places to do it.
And then we have the cost of owning and maintaing a 4wd

Hold on, don't get your panties in a bundle. Cherokees and Jeeps (you guys know what I mean by Jeep) are the only ones out there. Troy and Ellis are the only ones here with their type, and I know of one other Liberty that wheels. Xterra's I know of one. Or am I just missing them?4x4troy wrote:alot of us on here are unibody wheelers.....................

Gotta wash the main components to keep the rig running right. "Dirty " had the nicest show truck I hav e ever seen and he wheel the shit out of it. It takes a certain type of person to want to use their 4wd off-road.
Re: 4WD's not made anymore?
Don't any of the makes make a suitable 4WD besides the big 3 full size trucks. Has the electronics made decent 4wheeling to scary to most people? BTW, what is the median age of the Cherokee's? To a lot of people, those have reached the age of throw away.

I agree, recycling them is a great thing. I like the body style and they are very capable.
