Why IFS?
thinking about all the parts involved between a IFS and let's say a leaf-spring solid axle front end, why would manufacturers use something where there are so many parts to wear out (IFS)?
Re: Why IFS?
Because if you mas produce the same exact upper and lowers by machines for multiple. Vehicles lik the pathfinder frontier xterra murano and rogue like nissan and throw in some really cheap coils and shocks

Re: Why IFS?
Well the best answer is "that's what most drivers want" a smooth, quiet and comfortable ride. This can be accomplished much cheaper with IFS.
If u want a straight axle buy a Jeep.

Re: Why IFS?
If you want your truck to perfrom like a car IFS is a good thing, but to push IFS Wheeling with bigger tires and lift that could get expensive fast

Re: Why IFS?
So the manufacturers only do it for the people who view their vehicles as toasters, appliances to use to get them from point A to point B. that's so gay.
