If you go fast enough the water can't sink in

That is not the way to go thru water. If you do water will go everywhere. Also great chance of breaking the fan since it will be spinning. Best way is to just push thru at a moderate pace.

Dropping the skid plates after dinner and greasing everything with a fitting. Ignition is done. Have to change out diff and transmission/transfer case fluids Sunday. If the water is crazy high.

Re: Osceola July 7th
Had a great time riding the trails of the Osceola National Forest. Nothing off camber or anything, just some good trail riding. Had water over the tires a couple times, good to know it will handle 32" of water. Had forgotten about the belly laugh I get from hearing the exhaust under the water. Thokk truck did awesome. He gets a winch on there, it can be the official rescue vehicle. That thing is a tank.

Re: Osceola July 7th
I had a major blast while out there today. I am a lot more confident about the truck as this was really only my second time doing anything significant with it.
I was quite happy with the way it handled all that we went through.
I don't mind being the rescue truck heh, especially once I get the 12k winch I want loaded into it.
I am glad a few got a kick out of seeing me checking for spiders a few times. Not so bad in the first couple areas, but the later trails must not see much travel since there were many after that. Luckily there were no "ohmygodgetitoff" incidents, otherwise there might have been a new trail out there.
All in all had an awesome time and look forward to the next venture.
Also did anyone get pictures? I did not get any since I was solo today.

Re: Osceola July 7th
Hunter was busy with the camera, but a lot of his didn't turn out too well. He got some great shots of Jacqueline making the walls of water. He also got a few of you, I will try and get them up tomorrow. That place wasn't real conducive to picture taking what with the trails as narrow as they were and no place to have someone stand and take pics. Going on some of those 400-500 yard jaunts thru the deep water would of been great to get. Oh well, maybe we'll get someone who will try it next time.
Re: Osceola July 7th
I think I might snag one of those GoPro type cameras so I can get some action shots next time.
Though any pictures would be awesome, look forward to seeing them.

Re: Osceola July 7th
Here are a couple of teaser pics from my photobucket album. it's not a camera friendly place so most of the shots are from the backseat by the boy.
This is the way to get thru a puddle.
