My ride is an 87 Dodge Raider, also originally made by Mitsubishi and rebadged from the Montero. I bought it from dude in McClenney who was using it to go to work in Five Points. OD went out (he thought) and so he had it out by 90 "For Sale". I drove by, that night was out at his house cash in hand. Back my trailer up to it and start rolling the winch out. He asks what I'm doing, I tell him getting ready to winch it on the trailer, he says hold on. Grabs a battery and drives it up on the trailer. Whoohoo, it drives. I stop on way6 home, pick up a battery. Find out OD is electrically controlled ny a relay. $25 later from another forum and I have OD. First few modifications; detailed the Toyota rims, fog lights, and a $20 snorkel made by Donald over at Smitty's. 
. Then off to Bunnell! 
Craigslist has been my friend, wheels and tires. Found a air-locker rear end from a 98 Montero, and working on cleaning up a 3.5 DOHC V6 for it. BTW it has a Hemi. 
2.6 hemispherical heads I4.

Disconnected the ECU from the 94 donor foe the new engine. Starting to disassemble exterior stuff so I can remove the engine. There is a lot of wiring to be stripped out of the harnesses. I have also found I can remove 7+ wires from the harnes going into the passenger compartment. It is all supposed to help. There is a whole lot more wires on this fuel injected engine over the carbed engine.
