After hitting the rocker the last couple trips out, decided to make up some sliders. Sliders Sliders001 Finished grinding and sanding them last night, will be painting today so I can put them on this weekend. Sliders Sliders002 Sliders Sliders003...looking at the pics I gotta clean up the mess in the garage first. probly between coats.

Painted top and bottom now. I think I'll let them sit til Friday then put them on then. Sliders Sliderspainted005 i'm really happy with how they turned out. I salvaged the rounded tubes from some VW Baja Bug nerf bars, the length was just right to provide s nice kick out, and a handy step for people to get in.

I got a 20stick for 80 bucks, Still have 9' or so left, so will redo the rear bumper. It is made of galvanized square tubing and just never been happy with it.

Sounds good. I recently had some made. Me and a buddy it them. We bolted them to the pinch weld on the body and welded them to the XJ "frame"
