well i have decided to chop the back off and make it a truck kinda thing. i removed almost all the interior and alot of it is not going back in. i gotta get another hatch first so i can build a tailgate to and a block off behind the rear seats. but here is the start.

all the junk thats not going back in.....

looks like it has lifted the back alittle.

yes very true. i will also be making a new roof rack. and i will be making a hi=lift mount in the bed and a toolbox will go in as well. i am still undecided about my taillights...keep them stock or put some L.E.D's in?????

close it in with the hatch then get a 2nd hatch and make a tailgate

i got the rear hatch off and the rear windows have been removed. and i drove it to my other house...its def alot lighter. the rear sits up a good 2" higher then it did. the ride is a bit bouncier but i can live with that. and it is going to get tools, a toolbox, a hi-lift and other stuff put back in it so it should even out alittle. of course the carpet,headliner and some panels are not going back on and a 3'x4.5' section of steel is coming off the top. i will get some progress pics tomorrow.

yes,if you look closely...i now the pics suck... it is there and partly welded on. i got to build some fill plated and build a bulk head then some fiberglass and very little bondo and it should look purdy good then
