Re: Pirate's looking for a jeep
Theres a nice TJ for sale down in Middleburg at, IIRC, Orbes used car/auto shop thing. Its on the left if you're going south a couple minutes past the racetrack gas station. I stare that thing down every time I drive by its so nice.
Lift, tires, winch, smittybuilt front bumper, hardtop, full doors, tinted windows I believe. Looks real nice.

You know the year/mileage on it?
I paid 13k OTD for my 04 with 58k on the clock.
But it did have a few defects as well.

Re: Pirate's looking for a jeep
I thought you had a bunch of rugrats? Isn't a 4 door Cherokee more practical that way? Definitely cheaper to buy. And for money to go on it less likely to get caught up in the "Jones" game with all the ready-made crap you can buy for the jeeeps now. Retractible tops? Swing away "sliders"?
Re: Pirate's looking for a jeep
I've seen swing away steps but nothing id consider as sliders.

Re: Pirate's looking for a jeep
Whatever. It's supposed to be a "jeep". I guess I'm old and prejudiced, but to me a jeep is 4wd and does the job. i have a lot more respect for these dudes taking the Cherokees and modifying them up (Chris, Nick, Frankie, etc) than just opening up the checkbook and buying all you accessories. Have you seen the fully accesorized "Harley" riders with harley boots, chaps, pants, shirt, bandanna, sunglasses, sunglass string, and gloves? Oh yeah, they are bikers!
Re: Pirate's looking for a jeep
if I really wanted a jeep that was already built id get dirty's. I wouldn't mind one that had at least a lift and some decent tires and the rest I want to do because I want the bumper and sliders and what not to look and be like I want them not some crappy mass produced bumper that looks horrible.

I see how it is...........
Not sure if you have seen or not, but theres almost as many bolt on parts for the cherokee as there is for the wrangler.

Re: Pirate's looking for a jeep
Really Aaron? Are you getting your panties in a bundle? Are you throwing yourself in the same circle as the guy who buys a brand new vehicle, picks up the catalogue of a place, orders all the bolt-on parts his credit card can handle, then has a shop install them? You are no where near that. And you know this man! And they make all the same for the Cherokee, but most of the folks that have Cherokees are real folk, a lot of them using them as Daily Drivers even. They don't have the bottomless credit cards that a lot of the "new jeep" people do.

Did you not see the emoticon?? That means it wasn't serious! lol
But in all reality, if you had a bottomless creditcard, or just made crazy money like that, would you not buy all of these bolt on parts and have a shop install them?? I probably would(depending on exactly what the mod is). But thats just me being lazy and rich. lol
But I'm not rich so I'm stuck doing all the work myself and buying used parts or saving up for months to buy new parts.
