Wheeling trip Preparation
This weekends trip to the Cary national froest was anti-clamatic, due to my lack of preparation. ten minutes before I left I finally was getting the Shogun cleared out from a 70 hour work week, and took out my large bottle jack that i used the week before to help hold down a beach umbrella at the beach. It wasn't in my box that I normally carry everything in, and since I had already tied the box down, I just put it in the garage. Dumba$$ mistake #1. My tool bag was on the work bench since I have been piddling in the garage. That is where my breaker bar with the proper log nut socket is. Dumba$$ mistake #2. none of the other guys had a breaker bar, and fortunately I had a shovel to dig out the area to be able to fit my spare because the factory bottle jack got the blown out tire off the ground, but not high enough to fit the spare, hence having to dig it out so I could put the spare on. Quite aggravating. Carry what you need, make sure you have it packed the day before. Just saying.

thats why i try not to take out any of that stuff out of my truck. you just never know when you are going to need it. all of my recovery gear stays in a large box that is tied behind the rear seat. so if that box is there, all of my stuff is there. and the high lift stays strapped to the spare tire rack.
