4x4's everywhere
well i have 3 4x4's now. 2 kias and one jeep. the kias are the black one i had and a 95 green one that is an auto. the jeep is a 2000 wj with a 4.7 4x4. it will get the treatment the beast got...except the rollover... a tree fell on it so i will be doing a truck conversion to it. but first gotta swap motors. mt inlaws 2001 wj has a rod knock so i am going to swap my new motor...only 10k since rebuild... into theirs and rebuild the one thats in theirs now and drop into mine. they need theirs back very quick otherwise i would just rebuild theirs...plus it need so body work before driving to much...remember a tree fell on it. but i did drive it back up from deland with no problems.here is the new 95 Kia and the jeep.
the kia is getting interior taken out and floors bedlined.....
and the jeep
and the inlaws jeep

Re: 4x4's everywhere
Putting a motor in the Grand Cherokee huh? What's the expected time frame on that? The Kia's going to finance that?
Re: 4x4's everywhere
no kia is staying. doing a motor swap on the jeeps then rebuilding the bad one...it runs just knocks....timeframe...i am in no hurry on the jeep.
Re: 4x4's everywhere
Why dont you pick your fav. then fix the others and sell them. Then you can take the money and actually finish one so you can go ride.

Re: 4x4's everywhere
because. the kia will be more of a daily driver...just slightly modded the other kia is missy's now and the jeep is going to be my hard core ride...as in tube doors, gct conversion,4-6" lift lots of trimming, 35-37" tires, exo'd, and just barely street legal.
Re: 4x4's everywhere
this is the jeep as of right now. wont have any doors except tube doors, wont have no front fenders, will have about 4-6" of lift and on 35-37's
Re: 4x4's everywhere
the only reason the beast is gone is because i rolled the thing like a dumbass, the tj was stolen, did not like the 4runner, that lifted gc was mine before and was a pos., the ranger was just a reseller, the passport...pos, the kias..well i like them so much we now have two and they are staying(1 is Missy's the other is mine). plus the kias get 30+ mpg and wheel pretty good. the grand cherokee i have now is going to be my play toy so i dont tear up my dd... i think i have a good plan and this is how i am going to do it. i am selling parts off the gc that i dont need/want to make it lighter and better for off road stuff. don't care how street legal it is(thats the kias job). and the only way i will get rid of the kia is if i trade for a truck which i doubt i will do...remember 30+ mpg....and to boot has cold ac.anyways the jeep is being started on now. got more done to it pulling engines tomorrow and doing a bottom end rebuild on the one engine and dropping it in...should be about two weks and it will be under its own power again. then its lift, and body work time. i hope to have it where i want it by dec 31. the Kia will just get new tires and the stuff thats wrong with it will get fixed and be used as is. Missy's Kia will get bumpers remounted, new tires and the required maintence.
Re: 4x4's everywhere

Re: 4x4's everywhere
Still got them waggy axles. They'd go good under that GC!
the d44a is rather weak since it has an aluminum housing. I'm liking where the GC is going, though removing that much of the roof I would consider reinforcing the unibody for added strength. Its a good idea anyways if you're going to be doing some hard wheeling with it.
