Hey, neighbor. That looks like you can fit some bigger tires now. And no need to apologize for getting muddy.

Actually it was both of us. I had to follow Troy. Apparently the PO of that Grand Cherokee cut of the harness with the trailer wiring. WTF??? Get bored this weekend, drop by, I'll be trying to get the Shogun running.
Re: mmcgortys 87 after fender trim
Turned out really nice!
Now you can def go 38s if you want... but per Nick from Happy Trails the D30 in the front will only hold up to 36s w/ out a locker.

What did you use to cut the Fenders? And did you have to trim inner fender well also?

Re: mmcgortys 87 after fender trim
I used a regular grinder with a cutting wheel and a jig saw. Yes i had to trim the wells but that was simple compared to the metal.

Do those bolt on? Weld-on? Do you have a link for them? Gimme a holler when you're gonna do the install. Do they have a matching front. They make everything for you guys. Like everybody has Jeeps.

Re: mmcgortys 87 after fender trim
ok well FINALLY got the rear end back in place and went to tighten down the U-Bolts and snapped one. Oh well it was time to replace them they were looking pretty bad. If anyone knows where I can get some new ones pretty cheap let me know.

Timely question. I need some for a trailer. I sw some at the trailer store at Beaver and Chaffee. Are they the same. Quality the same? Duh, I guess it should be, a trailer carries some big weight. No idea on price though.
Re: mmcgortys 87 after fender trim
Well I picked up some new ones at advances but instead of going with the stock 1/2 ones that I broke. I replaced them with some thicker ones that around 7/16 thick. Went on great and cost under 20. Took it out for a ride and stopped at the gas station to see if everything was good still and my starter died. One this after another.

$hiznit happens. Water, mud, then some more water and mud. Amazing these things last as long as they do after being submerged and stuff the way some are.

Are you kidding me that is all a starter is? Man, that is sweet. green with envy. I think I got one, it was $80ish bucks a couple of years ago.
