CB radio tuning day
After seeing that he had a CB radio antennae meter thing, I thought it might not be a bad idea to gather everyone and maybe get everyone's reading done all at once for everyone. I'd be willing to throw some dogs on the grill, and maybe take care of some welding for people if they wanted it. It is all based on what Will says, but it might be a good day. Plus I'm close to "the local spot", you could all go play there when done. It's an idea. Post up, let me know what you think.

Sounds like a plan... I have only used it once (so not an expert).
I am mostly off on the weekends... some Saturdays depending on whether the wife works or not.
Sundays work best or Saturdays after 4 PM.
Your whip (antenna) has to be tunable in order to use the SWR meter.
Or I wonder if we should all ride out to that radio shop in MacClenny down 310, it would be a nice group ride and we can get out whips tuned!!!

Is that where Blondie is? that sounds like a plan. How do you know if your antennae is tunable?
Re: CB radio tuning day
All antenna are tunable just some have to be cut n some just have to be adjusted at the top by a screw tip or a set screw which let's the tip move.

Re: CB radio tuning day
Hey, should I get the spring that I usually see between the antennae and the mount? If I remember it correctly from the military, putting a spring in later can change the wavelength reception. Does that sound right?
Re: CB radio tuning day
Thats correct! I have a heavy duty one on mine. I wonder whats the name of ther radio place down 310? I want to also peak and tune my radio...and wanted to call them first to get some pricing info.

I think this is the one right next to I-10. Like Troy said there is also one by the intersection of US 301 and Normandy. So we have 2 places available. Where is Blondie with the Big DD's and the cut-off shirt?
Re: CB radio tuning day
