Re: CB radio tuning day
I first called the Callahan shop and this girl that sounded cute answered and she knew everything about peak and tuning.. But then I called the Baldwin shop and he said that he is always fixing Callahans cb radio work. So Blondie (.)(.) or nice peaked and tuned radios?
Or maybe we can hit both places and get double peaked and tuned.

I like the way you think man!
Re: CB radio tuning day
So do what do u expect the shop to say? " we suck go somewhere else" I doubt that would be good for business. I can say that my radio works very well and have had no problems with receiving or transmitting. I do need to retune my SWR because I swapped my spring n antenna for a different setup.
Like I said I will be going to the high tech shop on Thursday n will update on work.

All right, so I'm lost. What is the consensus on what we're doing? With Christmas coming I'm all about being cheap and checking it out with a SWR meter. But that's me. Let me know what is going on, and I'll plan accordingly.
Re: CB radio tuning day
Well on Saturday morning around 10 AM I am going to Jeffs (AKA: DIRTY) to pick up a part. I can bring the SWR with me.

Stop on by when you're done. I'll be working on my trailer and some bumpers for the shogun, and possibly some welding for Chuck ( X)

OMG, the fate of the free world is teetering on the brink of despair. Troy was wrong! WIll we survive? If that's as wrong as you can be, we'll forgive you........this time!
Re: CB radio tuning day
So a quick update on hi- tech. In my opinion I will never take my rig there for any work again. They charge $18 to tune your SWR.(free at callahan) They try to sell u shit u don't need and are all about the $$$. It's also a hole in the wall shop with little selection. Callahan has a huge shop n selection also (.)(.)

It's all about the Benjamin's. Probably do a hopping business right there at the exit ramp.

I want the best peak and tune money can buy! The hours at the hi-tech are better... but I do want to check out (*)(*) for the heck of it.
