sand/go fast areas?
does anyone know if there are sand dunes, or just sand, or even decent trails to hit at a quick pace in town? very small jumps would be awesome too! there is a small trail not to far down the road from me that i hit at 20-30mph the other day and it was a blast! i have been really thinking about tweaking my setup into a mild go-fast setup, but finding someplace is the issue. i am game for just about any place local, as long as there are no fences and no "no trespass" signs. i found out a awesome place today off beaver, but of course there was someone out there with open headers and the locals called the cops, the cop said we aren't allowed back there, so that place is a bust.

Without it being a regulated area, you end up with an incident like what happened at the dunes by Beach and Kernan where someone on a 4wheeler was killed after hitting/getting hit by a jeep.

I'm not sure if the Beach/kernan area was posted or not. I know the "Broken Bolt" people go there, they have taken some pretty good pics there.

when i tried to go, i went in by the fire station and there was the standard JEA sign right at the entrance.

Yes, I heard that. I know the sand back there is totally unforgiving. I worked back there on the fire station and the power line stuff they did.
Re: sand/go fast areas?
it has been awhile since i have been on that area though. is there any other entrances?

Yea don't go to the southside sand dunes from southside. You have to enter from millcreek road and you can only drive in the covered woods and wha you can't see from southside.

going by google maps it looks like you enter on lone star rd? it also looks like its plastered in no trespass signs. but those street view pics are usually about a year or so old. but it also looks to be heavily used. we need to meet up one weekend.

Re: sand/go fast areas?
Pretty much anything that can be seen from the connector is off limits. However with the property lines as they arer the area at lone star and milcreek have owners that are fine with day riding just no nights due to partiers that didn't clean up their ber cans (errr hate those kids) and then some of the wooded trails by merril road lake are open for travel with merril road church approval also with usage of the lake( pstor is a cool guy). However on any of the propety if caught after dark then you get towed

Re: sand/go fast areas?
U could also go to Flagler estates. Plenty of dry sand trails to go fast on and it's 2 lanes wide
