Re: Shogun build - An 88 Mitsubishi Montero build
Pretty productive weekend. Got two bumpers just about done. Hopefully do the rear-end swap Wednesday. Get that done, I should be ready for the weekend. Four pieces to make and weld on the front, then paint, and 2 on the back with the brackets. And a CB antennae mount. That is one the stock bumper. Nice chrome on the stock bumpers, they're going to look nice on the street Raider.

And a buddy of mine had some d-ring mounts cut out of 1" plate steel with a waterjet. Sexy. Will post pics on Wednesday when I get to see my vehicle again in the daylight.

refer to the post above yours. I work 5 AM to 6PM, so I don't get to see it during the daylight to take pics

Hopefully it's like insurance, glad to know it's there, but don't want to use it.

Re: Shogun build - An 88 Mitsubishi Montero build
No time to work on it today , doing Christmas wrapping for the family back in St. Louis. Only got partially done with both bumpers, will finish them next week. Worst part is UMWH didn't come in to make the lift kit. The 32's are a bit crowded. See what tomorrow brings.
Front bumper. still need to make outer front panels and end caps. Turning out pretty strong.
Made up the rear bumper with d-ring mounts. Not going to work with the body lift, so it will have to be modified.
Side shot showing the 32's. If the UMWH doesn't get here I'm screwed on wheeling. The tires hit pretty easily, so if the body lift material doesn't make it I will have to jump in with one of you guys.
The 32's are 4" taller than the stockers. Feels better driving it with them.. don't know what it will do to the road feel though.

How much body lift? Hope the parts come in for you, I know you can buy that stuff @ 4wheelparts comes in a block and you cut to size

Yep, I have a 48" length of it coming, $31.50. Was supposed to show up today. Making a 3" lift for the MudRaider, then taking it's 2" lift blocks and putting them on the Shogun

Thanks. Still trying to figure out the settings with the stick welder to get prettier welds. Probably going to need help with that since I don't seem to be getting it.

Hit a milestone today.
300,000 miles. Of course it has a different motor, and it's working on needing a new rear end. The limited slip is making some ugly noises.

Wow. 140. i thought you lived in Jacksonville. You must live in Germany and drive on the Autobahn. Really, what kind of foolish statement is that?
Re: Shogun build - An 88 Mitsubishi Montero build
Please tell us you're not out Rollin 140, that's just an estimate right?

Well the last time I went over 100 was going down 301 and had to speed up to gettin clocked at 165 due to a tornado fixin to hit a small town on 301. I got clocked by a state trooper who was right in its path and because he chased me down I prob saved him from gettin hit by a tornado. Luckily the tornado ended up turning and missed the edge of town by like a quarter mile. I will never take 301 in a storm again

That's what the state trooper told me. I honestly believe that his gun was on the fritz cuz my speedo was only at 140 which is the speedos max

He didn't see it. Only reason I saw it was because I had stopped by a cow field to pee and saw it coming down about to touch down
